All EAC/ACB members in good standing are eligible to register and attend the seminar. You will need your membership number, and your membership expiry date to complete the registration process.
Registration for Seminar 2027 opens on Tuesday, September 1, 2026. After March 31, 2027, any registration requests will be at the discretion of the Seminar Committee, in consultation with the instructors.
The pre-registration fee of $100 is a non-refundable deposit and must accompany the registration form.
All registrations postmarked or received by November 1, 2026, will be treated equally for the preference of classes. Please register early to avoid disappointment.
Classes without enough registrations by January 15, 2027, will be cancelled.
Class assignments will be sent electronically or mailed by March 1, 2027. Every effort will be made to place you in the class(es) of your choice.
An invoice will be sent to you with your registration confirmation showing the balance owing, including kit fees. Full payment, including kit fees, must be received by April 15, 2027.
Will You Use an Apple Device to Register?
Apple’s Safari browser doesn’t support the code used in the app. The registration form works well in Chrome and Firefox browsers. This YouTube video may help you add a different browser to your Apple device.
Each year EAC/ACB awards a grant to assist a member in attending the seminar. The grant covers the cost of a four-day or two two-day class options
All of the details are on the website at eac-acb.ca/awards-grants. The deadline for submission is November 15, 2026.

If EAC/ACB cancels a class because of low participation or any other reason, participants will be offered alternate class choices. Any travel and hotel costs incurred by the registration due to cancellation are solely the responsibility of the registrant.

Refund requests must be submitted to 2027Registration@eac-acb.ca as early as possible and no later than July 6, 2027. The letter or email must include all pertinent details for the request.

All Seminar 2027 participants must comply with provincial health regulations in effect in June 2027.
Infants and children are not permitted in classes. Phones must be muted while in class. Cameras and/or recording equipment may only be used in a classroom with the instructor’s permission.
We ask that you respect those who are scent-sensitive and avoid all scents, including perfumes, fragrant soaps, shampoos and lotions.

Get comfortable in a dedicated space where you can work on your project while soaking up the vibrant seminar atmosphere. Connect with fellow stitchers, share ideas, and enjoy the camaraderie that makes embroidery even more enjoyable!
At Seminar 2027, we are offering simply stitching during sessions AB (4 days), A (the first 2-day sessions) and B (the second 2-day session).
You can pay your registration fee and seminar balance by e-transfer, cheque or credit card.

Credit Card Payment: For those who wish to pay by credit card, please send an email to 2027Treasurer@eac-acb.ca to be issued an order for payment of the deposit. Please include your full name, membership number, and membership expiry date in the email. The subject line should state “Requesting an order for payment of the deposit for Seminar 2027”.

To succeed in your classes, choose those that match your skill level as outlined in the course descriptions. We are not responsible for your success if you select a class that is too challenging for you. For any class skill level questions, contact the registrar.
Basic projects, classes and courses are for anyone new to embroidery or the technique or requiring guidance in reading/understanding stitch diagrams and patterns. Assistance and repeated directions will be provided.
Basic level classes and projects can also be enjoyed by the intermediate and advanced stitcher.
Basic/Intermediate projects, classes and courses are for those with stitching experience but are new to the technique. Assistance and detailed directions will be provided.
Basic/Intermediate level classes and projects can also be enjoyed by the intermediate and advanced stitcher.
Intermediate projects, classes and courses are for those who:
are familiar with the technique, or similar technique, at the basic level, and want to advance their understanding of the technique
understand stitch diagrams and patterns but may need guidance
are able to work somewhat independently
skill levels
Intermediate/Advanced projects, classes and courses are for those who:
are familiar with and have some experience with the technique at the intermediate level
may not be fully proficient with the more complex stitches
can work independently with guidance from the instructor
are able to move quickly from one section/element
to the next
There may not be much class time available to repeat instructions/demonstrations and stitchers unfamiliar with the technique may not be able to keep up.
Advanced projects, classes and courses are for those who:
wish to expand and challenge their skills in a technique in which they have foundational experience
are able to read charts and stitch diagrams with ease
are familiar with the stitches used in the technique
In addition, the student should have a proficient understanding of stitch technique for the more complex stitches and are able to work independently. The class will move quickly through the set-up and basic elements of the project.
